DIPLOMA KEMAHIRAN MALAYSIA
ELECTRONIC AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

 

The course is designed to prepare students with entry level knowledge and manipulative skills for employment in the electrical industry.

The programme combines theory with laboratory activities as an effective means of developing the skills essential to the electrical trade.
The student begins with the fundamentals of electricity and wiring of simple circuits, then progresses to residential interior wiring, three phase alternating current power, and wiring of more complex circuits and equipment.

Safety is stressed as an integral part of each shop task. Emphasis is placed on wiring in accordance with the provisions contained in the National Electrical Code.

Completed SPM / 17 years old and above

LEVEL 4
Electronic Equipment Administration
• Identify equipment performance status based on performance chart
• Coordinate equipment calibration work
• Manage procurement requisition
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures for electronic equipment
• Monitor electronic equipment administration tools, equipment and material usage
• Report tools, equipment and material administration activities

Electronic Product And Technology Improvement
• Identify electronic product improvement requirements
• Analyse component usage
• Carry out product improvement test
• Produce product and technology improvement report

Microcontroller Configuration

• Select microcontroller
• Configure microcontroller program
• Confirm microcontroller functionality


PLC Programming
• Perform input/output wiring
• Produce flowchart according to statement given
• Perform PLC programming
• Conduct functionality test
• Produce PLC programming report
