BSc APPLIED ACCOUNTING (HONS)
The Diploma in Accounting (DIA) programme is designed to develop competency in the functional areas of accounting and to build up the analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills in identifying and evaluating accounting problems in order to make decisions. Besides that, DIA also allows for progression to professional accounting qualifications offered by Association of Chartered Certified Accounts (ACCA), thus getting the DIA is the ultimate pathway to become a Chartered Accountant.
After completing the DIA, students will be granted exemption for ACCA Fundamental –Knowledge level Examination which comprises three (3) papers, namely Accountant in Business, Management Accounting and Financial Accounting. With such exemption, students can proceed directly to ACCA Fundamental – Skills level Examination which comprises six (6) papers namely Corporate and Business Law (LW), Performance Management (PM), Taxation (TX), Financial Reporting (FR), Auditing and Assurance (AA) and Financial Management (FM).
Students who successfully completed and passed ACCA Fundamental – Skills level Examination can opt into the Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree Scheme. This is an exclusive scheme from ACCA thats allow students to obtain a BSc degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (OBU), UK while studying towards the ACCA qualifications.
To be awarded the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting, student must further comply with the followings:

to register with Oxford Brookes University beforetaking FR, AA and FM papers.

successfully completed and passed ACCA Fundamental –Skills level Examination (6 papers).

successfully completed and passed the Oxford Brookes University’s Research and Analysis Project.
